Cancer Card

Project Information

You’ve just been told it’s cancer. How do you and those around you navigate through the endless information online to find the appropriate resources? Cancer Card aims to consolidate all charities and services in one location removing the added burden of information overload to the cancer diagnosis.

Cancer Card needed a short video for their website to build awareness of their brand, it needed to be engaging and empathetic to those affected by cancer. Addressing the pain points of information overload and highlighting the benefits of using Cancer Card.

Information overload is like being stuck in a maze, if you remember those handheld mazes as a child you’ll remember the frustration of trying to twist and turn the balls so you can find your way out. Through metaphor we communicate the feeling of being lost and the resolution of a clear path that Cancer Card provides.

How do we talk about cancer in a hopeful light without minimising the pain that people are going through? The message is one of hope and approachability which we wanted to communicate through the use of music, sound and the soft colour palette.

Those affected by a cancer diagnosis were represented by one of the coloured balls, these include patients, partners, family, friends, employers and professionals.

The video was used on their main page and across their social media channels, helping to spread awareness of their services and driving traffic to their website.
